Generations Project Update – October 2026

Exciting progress is being made every week on our Generations construction projects. As we continue working through the sanctuary and children’s wing renovations, we are beginning to see more of the finished spaces take shape. We are now at a point in the construction process that we can begin projecting dates for completion, and we continue to work towards the originally planned early December dates for both the Singing Christmas Tree and the first sanctuary worship service. We are confident that you’re going to like the look of the sanctuary, and we are pleased to announce that the original chandeliers are now in place. The new sanctuary windows and the restored pews are going in over the next two to three weeks, and final trim work, painting, and flooring are starting.

The renovation of the Cammack lobby and a portion of the ground floor of the children’s wing are nearing completion, and we are scheduled to open those areas sometime in early- to-mid November. The remaining ground floor areas and second floor renovations in the children’s wing will be starting soon thereafter. Planning for the start of the Fellowship Hall renovations is underway, and that work will begin within a week or so after we reopen the sanctuary. New furniture for all of the renovated spaces is scheduled to be delivered to the church on or about November 10.

Despite the typical construction challenges and surprises that come with construction, the overall project is still on budget. Our contractor is working diligently to keep to the original schedules on all of the projects as much as possible. We are grateful for your patience, continued prayers, and generous financial support as we move closer to completing these exciting improvements to our church facility.
