Holy Hospitality

Day 4
Holy Hospitality is alive and well in Kenya. I came here with the phrase “the little we have, we share” in my head from previous mission trip experiences. The MOHI family of teachers, social workers, staff, children and families live this out every day.
We have been welcomed with open arms into peoples’ homes and hearts. We have tried our best to receive their hospitality graciously and to return it with the same warmth and intent. No matter how small and cramped the homes we visited and how large our team was, there was always room for us to “fit” – because it was holy ground and God was among us.
Christ is our ultimate example of hospitality. He welcomes us with extravagant joy; everyone is invited; and there is always room at the table because the table continuously gets bigger.
