BonSwa Haiti

It’s hard to believe our time in Haiti is coming to an end. We have had so many memorable moments, and God has been challenging our assumptions and strengthening us each day.

Can’t wait to see all our family and friends tomorrow.

2nd Rubble House

Our next house was a lot harder for a couple different reasons… But the main reason was that it was located on the side of a hill and the rubble pile was located about 100 yards away from the house. The home owner was the main one with the shovel and loading the buckets, but we found that it worked best for us to create an assembly line to haul the buckets up to the house and empty buckets back to the pile.

1st Rubble House

The wire cages get framed in and the team loads the rubble into buckets and then fills the walls. It usually take a day to fill the whole house with rubble.

Pictures working

In order to build a rubble house you first have to build the wire cages for the walls. We spent the first workday in Haiti building 2 house cages. On Monday we (our 8th day) we built enough cages for 4 houses. Way to GO TEAM!!!!
